Rhythm & Brews Music Festival Draws Crowd to Downtown Vista
Vista, CA – Vista held the second annual Rhythm & Brews Music Festival, presented by Mother Earth Brew Co. and Backstreet Brewery, on Saturday October 5th and attracted 1,800 visitors to historic Downtown Vista. While enjoying ideal weather, visitors danced in the streets to fantastic music, tasted a wonderful variety of craft beer and filled up on delicious food.
All of the local bands set a captivating, vivacious mood for the event. Reggae played by The Devastators and Shoreline Rootz, was a huge hit, and both bands are nominated for the 2013 San Diego Music Awards, Wednesday, Oct 9th. The Lacy Younger Band and the China Clippers rocked Main Street, and Cloud Feather delighted downtown with their original mix of folk, pop, mellow rock and country.
Wherever they go, the music of Shoreline Rootz uplifts the audience. “This year’s Rhythm & Brews Festival was a blast! It was a great privilege to play our music to a whole new crowd! Sound was on point, craft beers were flowin’ & everyone was groovin’!” said Ryan Thorpes of Shoreline Rootz. “Can’t wait for next year’s event! Thanks again for havin’ us!”
“It was a great event, kind and courteous; planning was perfect and made everything effortless,” said Keith Elliott, the guitarist for The Lacy Younger Band.
“The 2nd Annual Rhythm & Brews Music Festival exceeded expectations thanks in large part to the efforts of Kevin Hopkins and Dan Love at Mother Earth Brewery. As a result of this effort and the work of the Vista Village Business Association, I see this event growing into an annual signature event for Vista,” said one of the event organizers, Clay McCarthy of Quality Lock & Safe. “The entertainment selection exceeded expectations and I don’t think we could have fit any more people into the festival. We thank all of the participants, the donors to the local brewers and sponsors. Without the collective effort of the breweries, the sponsors, volunteers and community organizers, this event would not have been possible.”
“I had a great time at last year’s event and encouraged everyone I know to attend this year,” said Steve Macey of Watkins The Home Relaxation Specialists. “The 2nd Annual Rhythm & Brews Music Festival was even bigger and better! I’m looking forward to see this fun Downtown Vista event continue grow even bigger next year!”
