Parade Participants
We want you. If you, your service group or business would like to be in the 1st annual North County St. Patrick’s Parade please call the VVBA at 760-414-9391 for more information and to obtain a Parade participation form. Forms are available by clicking the links above. We will be having three possible prizes for parade participants: Best 30 second Performance, Best Irish Theme and Best Dog Costume. Standard parade entry is $35.00, Dog Entry is $5.00, Corporate/Business Entry is $50.00 and Non-profit is $25.00. Check-in is at the Vista Magnet Middle School at 9:00am. Opening ceremonies at 10:00AM and last approximately 1 hour. Come celebrate your heritage or just be Irish for the Day! Forms are available for download above.
Vendor Information
Vendor Spaces are available for the 1st Annual North County St. Patrick’s Day Parade and Festival kicking off on March 17, 2012 at 10:00AM to 4:00PM. Check-in is at 8:00AM. Food Vendors are $150.00, Other Vendors are $75.00, Corporate is $200.00 and Non-profit is $25.00 for a 10 x 10 space. The Village Scavenger Hunt For Gold
Gold! Gold! Gold! That’s what you will be looking for this St. Patrick’s Day at the 1st North County St. Patrick’s Day Parade and Festival. Your search for clues could lead you to be the winner of a gold coin valued at $250.00 by sponsor John Shakarian Jeweler. Join us in this fun activity on March 17, 2012 at 1:00 pm. All Participants must pay a fee of $10.00, fill out scavenger hunt flyer release form and deliver both to the VVBA office at 150 E. Broadway, Vista, CA 92084.
Miss Celtic Queen North County
The Vista Village Business Association is sponsoring the inaugural North County Celtic Queen Pageant! This will be a fun pageant to choose the official hostess of the North County St. Patrick’s Day Parade & Festival. The pageant will be held Friday, March 16th. There is no entry fee and admission to watch the pageant is free.
A contestant must be between the ages of 17 and 24 on March 17, 2012, and be a legal resident of any city or community in North San Diego County, outside the boundaries of the city of San Diego. Contestant must agree that if crowned, she will act as the Official Hostess of and participate in all activities connected to the North County St. Patrick’s Day Parade & Festival, as well as all future publicity for the 2013 event.

Limerick Readings
Would you like to write your own Limerick? Be part of the fun of this very old Irish Tradition. The Village Idiots will have LIMERICK WRITING AND READING FEST at Gallery 204 at 204 Main Street, from 1:00 to 3:00 pm. This is a no cost event. We will simply offer some time writing and then participants will have the opportunity to read their Limericks aloud to the group. Mother Earth Beer Garden and Concert
Enjoy craft beer from Mother Earth Brew Co. at the North County St. Patrick’s Day Mother Earth Beer Garden. All Beer is donated by Mother Earth Brew Co. and all proceeds go to the Vista Village Business Association for the beautification and promotion of the Vista Business Improvement District. Remember to drink responsibly. Please take the Sprinter for a safe St. Patrick’s Day Experience. NCTD are sponsoring the event with offers of 2 for 1 SPRINTER fares all day March 17, 2012 and 2 for 1 Coaster fares after 2:00pm. Until St. Patty’s Day you can enjoy Mother Earth Brew at their tasting room in Vista. Concert will be performed by our Grand Marshall, Fiery Celtic Fiddler, Patric Petrie at noon followed by Steelin’ Tin at 2:00pm-4:00pm. Stage will be on S.Indiana between Main Street and Broadway in Historic Vista.
Games and Contests
See your Red Head or Freckled child shine on St. Patricks Day. People’s choice award will be given to the winner. Come to the VVBA booth on S.Indiana before 12:00 pm to register your child. Winner will be determined at 3:00pm. The winner will a receive cash prize.
